Strawberries
The magic that is malic acid. A powerhouse fruit that holds the benefits of this tooth whitening enzyme has proven to naturally whiten teeth as the acid breaks away stains. Brushing with a combination of these crushed berries with ½ a teaspoon of baking soda is a great natural whitening remedy. While baking soda has been considered safe and only a mild abrasive on the teeth it is important not do this more than once a fortnight to avoid enamel breakdown!

A 2012 study compared the stain-removing capabilities of a toothpaste containingPapain and Bromelain (fruit enzymes found in papaya and pineapple)to a regular toothpaste.The study concluded that the toothpastes containing the fruit enzymes were more effective at breaking down stains than the regular toothpaste was and resulted in a whiter smile!

Milk
